Users can now preview the attachments directly on the Redwood platform, freeing them from the hassle of downloading files to the local storage. This fantastic feature works for document record attachments, ensuring you have quick and easy access to all the vital information you need.

Simply navigate to the New Document Record page and click the Preview icon in the Reference Info section to instantly view your attachments. Say goodbye to waiting and cluttered folders—this is all about seamless, efficient access! Don’t miss out on this game-changing update; dive in and discover the convenience today!

The preview icon for attachments on the Document Records page enables users to view attachment files directly in a convenient panel drawer, streamlining access and enhancing the overall document management experience.

And, this update is auto-applied, and no need to configure it in 24C onwards.

 

2. Hide URL Field in Redwood Document Records Attachments Section

Great news for Redwood users! You now have the power to customize the visibility of the URL field in the document record attachment section. By simply adjusting the “Show URL Field in Attachments Section” page property, you can tailor the display to suit your needs. By default, this property is enabled, meaning the URL field will be displayed in the attachment section of Redwood document records.

To hide the URL field in the attachment section, navigate to:

  • Business Rules pane on the Document Records page
  • Find the property labeled ‘Show URL Field in the Attachments Section’.

If the business doesn’t need URL attachments, hide this field when adding or editing document records for end users. Hence, URL field will not be visible in the attachment section.

 

3. Hide the download button option on the Redwood Document Records List page

Great news for all Redwood Document Records users! You now have the power to customize your experience by controlling the visibility of the Download button directly on the Document Records list page. By adjusting the “Show Download Button” page property, you can decide when and how this feature appears. This means you can create a cleaner interface or ensure that downloading is just a click away—whatever suits your workflow best! By default, the Download button is displayed on the Document Records list page. The download button can be hidden using the Business Rules pane based on your organization’s needs.

To hide the download button:

  • Click on Edit Page in Visual Builder Studio
  • Click on Show Download button
  • Delete the Me section

4. Family and Emergency Contacts Region Supported as Embedded Application Task within Journeys

Now, this task is seamlessly integrated into a journey, allowing for a more intuitive experience. You can effortlessly configure the Embedded Application Task by simply selecting the appropriate region. This improvement not only saves you time but also enhances your overall workflow. Steps to configure the Embedded Applications:

  • Go to tasks
  • Select Task type as Embedded Application Task
  • In the Embedded Application task, select Family and emergency contacts

Once you configure the Family and Emergency Contacts region within the Embedded Application Task and assign it to an employee, the Family and Emergency Contacts will automatically appear in the journey assigned to that employee, ensuring easy access to critical information.

Please enter the contact details.

Steps to Configure the Embedded Applications:

  • Go to tasks
  • Select Task type as Embedded Application Task
  • In the Embedded Application task, select Skills and Qualifications
  • In Sections, select Honors and Awards (User can select the other options based on business requirement)

After configuring the Skills and Qualifications region to include the Honors and Awards section in the Embedded Application Task, the relevant fields will be displayed in the Journeys task, allowing users to easily input details about their honors and awards.
