PeopleSoft Intelligent Chat Assistant from Oracle (PICASO)

Oracle Peoplesoft has newly launched PICASO in HCM Image 38. PICASO is a digital assistant based on the ODA platform. With its AI-driven interface (commonly known as chatbots), the digital assistant helps the users to accomplish a variety of tasks in natural language conversations.

Use the floating widget in the PeopleSoft application to launch the PeopleSoft Intelligent Chat Assistant from Oracle. This digital assistant is available on all employee and manager self-service fluid pages. Using this chatbot you can perform inquiries and transactions in Absence Management, Benefits, Payroll for North America, Employee Directory, Requisition, and Expense Inquiry.

You can assemble one or more PeopleSoft skills. PeopleSoft Skills are individual bots that focus on specific types of tasks like requesting absence, changing dependants/beneficiaries, requisitions inquiry, etc. You can add skills to digital assistants or deploy them to a channel on their own.

You can access the PeopleSoft Employee Digital Assistant as a chatbot widget in the right bottom corner of any PeopleSoft homepage, dashboard, or other fluid application for employees and managers.

  • Click the widget to launch the digital assistant.

  • When an employee clicks on the widget, a chat window will appear for The PeopleSoft PICASO.

Use this button to clear the chat.

Note: If manually not cleared, the chat history is maintained throughout the session. Once you log out from the session, the history is cleared.

Use this button to navigate to the next skill.

You can type in your question or can select an option from the list of displayed options to tell the chatbot what help you need.

If you do not want to go ahead with the displayed skill, click the navigation button to move to the next skill. Below is the given skill.

  • Absence Skill
  • Benefits Skill
  • Payroll for North America Skill
  • Requisition Inquiry Skill
  • Expense Inquiry Skill

Note: Even if the employee navigates from one skill to another, the chat history remains in the chat window. The continued interaction while navigating through the application, provides the employee a seamless interaction experience.

Absence Assistant

  • Use the Absence assistant to help users with tasks such as adding/ cancelling an absence or absence related inquiries.

Benefits Assistant

  • Use the Benefits Assistant to help the users with viewing/updating employee’s Benefits enrolments and related inquiries.

Payroll Assistant

  • Use the Payroll Assistant to help the users with inquiries related to employee playouts, direct deposits, and year end forms.

Requisition Assistant

  • The Requisition Assistant allows requesters to quickly search for their requisition items and view the status of items in the Request Lifespan.

Expense Inquiry Assistant

  • The Expense Inquiry Assistant allows employees to quickly search for expense reports, view its status and corresponding details.
