PeopleSoft HCM PUM 49: Enhancing Global Payroll with COBOL Trace Tool for Identification
INTRODUCTION
Cobol tracing is enabled by PeopleSoft for the Identification phase in Update Image 49. It is used to generate Cobol traces for identified employees during the payroll process.
STEPS TO ENABLE COBOL TRACE
- By selecting the identify checkbox, debug and tuning choices, and finally identifying the payroll, we may enable the COBO trace in PUM 49 to calculate the absence and payroll identification process.

- Then select Debug and Tuning Options, and then select the detail radio button at the COBOL log level.

- Next, using the lists in the trace program selection group box, the user can select the type of trace.

- User can then choose the payee for the tracing by clicking on the Payee Selection Group box.
