Introduction:
This blog outlines the new features and enhancements available to faculty members in the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS) system-PUM 32. These improvements are designed to streamline class management, offering greater flexibility and efficiency in accessing and managing student information, class rosters, and related functionalities. From modifying terms and switching between classes to accessing meeting schedules and attendance tracking, the new interface provides a user-friendly experience with embedded tools that minimize the need for navigation across multiple pages. Additionally, enhanced security features and customizable options, such as preferred pronoun displays and notifications, ensure that faculty members can tailor the system to meet their specific needs while maintaining control over class permissions and student communications.
When a faculty member logs into the system, they are greeted by the newly revamped Faculty Center Homepage, which now prominently features a redesigned Faculty Center Tile. This tile serves as a gateway to the Fluid Faculty Center; a simple click transports the faculty member directly to this streamlined hub.

What is a Class Roster?
- A class roster is a comprehensive list of all students enrolled in a specific course or class section for a given academic term.
- Class Rosters are used for Attendance Tracking, Grading and Evaluation functions, Administration functions, Student Information, and Enrollment Status.
Using Class Roster Page:
- Through the class roster page, the faculty member is empowered to make various adjustments, such as altering the academic term displayed on the page. They also have the flexibility to switch between different classes with ease. By selecting the ‘Change Class’ button, a new window pops up, allowing them to choose another class roster to review and manage. (Fig 2).

- The page also includes a customizable link for viewing the FERPA statement, which can be positioned according to the faculty’s needs (Fig 2).
- Beneath the ‘Change Class button, there is a hyperlink that, when clicked, opens a pop-up window redirecting the faculty directly to the detailed meeting information for a particular class. The pop-up provides specifics on meeting dates and the exam schedule for that course section.
Student List details:
- Within the student list, selecting any student will trigger a pop-up window displaying all pertinent student information. This includes a configurable field for preferred pronouns, which campuses can choose to display or hide based on their preferences. If available, the student’s photograph will also be shown in this window (Fig 3).

- Filter to display selected students are also available. The faculty can opt to view Enrolled Students, Waitlisted Students, Dropped Students, or any combination of these categories simultaneously. (Fig 4)

- The faculty also has the option to notify selected students through this page. By selecting specific students and clicking the ‘Notify’ button, a pop-up window will appear, allowing the instructor to send notifications directly to those students for the relevant class (Fig 6).

Show Class Permissions:
Situated above the student list filters are two newly introduced buttons, designed to provide faculty with immediate access to crucial class information without the need to navigate away from the current page. The first button is a direct link to the Class Permission Numbers. Clicking on this button brings up the embedded Class Permissions interface. All functionalities that were available on the original admin page for Class Permissions remain intact in this enhanced version. (Fig 7).

Using Attendance Roster:
- Attendance Rosters are used for recording the Date of Attendance, Attendance Status, Cumulative Attendance, Monitoring Students Engagements, Financial Aid and Funding, etc..
- ‘Show Attendance Roster’ button offers faculty an additional control to review and manage attendance records directly within the class roster. This includes tracking attendance, viewing attendance dates in sequence, or accessing all attendance templates in one consolidated view. The ability to save and update attendance records is also seamlessly integrated (Fig 8)

Link to Grade Roster
- Next to the print button, a significant enhancement has been added: a direct link connecting the Class Roster to the Grade Roster for the same class. This innovation creates a continuous loop between the two rosters, enabling instructors to easily switch between them without the hassle of navigating through multiple pages (Fig 9).
