Oracle Cloud 22D Release Updates – ORC | Blog Overview
This blog will focus on how to implement some of the main updates in the ORC 22D release.
The updates of the ORC 22D release are,
- Alternate email for internal candidate
- Adding new criteria for Duplicate check
- Hot Job tag for external career site
1. Alternate Email for Internal Candidate
An important update that Oracle has released with ORC 22D is the option to provide alternate emails for internal candidates during application to a job opening. This feature will enable an Internal Candidate without a work email (i.e., W1) such as a contingent worker to provide an alternate email while applying for a job opening at Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC). Applicants can receive all the notifications or communication messages related to the job opening in this alternate email.
- Advantage: It will ensure candidates – not to miss any notifications from the recruiters and hiring managers.
To enable this feature, you need to configure three tasks in Oracle Fusion,
- First task: Enable the related Administrator Profile Values
- Second task: Enable section using Transactional Design Studio
- Third task: Add Alternate Email token at Alert Composer
First task: Enable the related Administrator Profile Values
To enable Administrator Profile Values for this feature

2. Adding new criteria for Duplicate checks
Followed by an alternate email for an internal candidate, the next ORC 22D release update we dive into is adding new criteria for Duplicate checks. When any candidate accepts the offer letter, then recruiters move the applicant to the HR phase. HR then can verify if the candidate data are duplicates or not in the system. When the candidate is selected for the HR phase, each external candidate and also internal candidate will be checked against all workers, ex-workers, contingent workers, and ex-contingent workers using the identifications Person Type, National Identifier, and Date of Birth.
Fig 18: View Duplicates
When there is any potential duplicate data, the user can identify which fields are the same by the Yes and No flags.
- Yes: which means the candidate data and potential duplicate data matching in the database
- No: which means the candidate data are not matching as duplicate data in the database
- Empty: Both or one of the candidates and potential duplicates have an empty value.
Administrators can now choose the person types to be included in the duplicate search while moving a candidate to the HR phase. They can also exclude person types other than Employee, Ex-Employee, Contingent Worker, Ex-Contingent Worker, and Pending Worker from duplicate matching such as Contact, Canceled Hire.
Follow the below steps to configure the duplicate check by person type:
- Click on the profile and select Setup and Maintenance.
