Overview
Redwood enhances the visual user experience across all Oracle applications.
Enabling the Redwood theme not only modifies the user interface but also makes use of new capabilities exclusive to this theme. The Enhanced Compensatory plans Redwood page lets you experience Redwood’s high-fidelity interactions. Managers can now create and update compensatory time manual adjustments and expiration dates.
By default, this feature is disabled. The instructions to activate this functionality are provided below.
Enabling Redwood Theme:
Follow these steps to activate Redwood functionality,
- Navigate to Setup and Maintenance work area.

- Click on “Search” from task icon.

- Search for and click the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.

- Select the profile option ORA_ANC_PLAN_BALANCE_VBCS_UI_ENABLED.

- Set the Level to Site and enter ‘Y’ in the Profile Value
- Click on Save and Close.
Steps to Create Absence Type:
- Navigation: My client groups >>Absence >>Absence Type >> Click on Create
- Enter the Basic details and save.

- Here, Absence Type with the name “Comp off -Test” is created.

- Navigate to “Plans and Reasons” tab, and map the plan created.

- Enable the display features based upon the business need and fill in the remaining tabs.
- Click on Save and Close.

Steps to Creating Absence Plan:
Create Absence Plan
- Navigation: My client groups >>Absence >>Absence Plan >>Click on Create
- Choose Plan type as Compensatory and enter the Basic details.

- Here a plan with the name “Comp off is created.
- Navigate to the next tab, i.e. Participation and fill in the remaining details.

- Under Entries and balances section, enable the checkbox under Manual Adjustments for both Manager and Administrator to make any adjustments in the absence balance.
- Similarly enable the Expiration Date Updates for both Manager and Administrator to make any changes in the Expiration Date.

- Click on Save and Close, the Compensatory Type and Plan have been created.
Adjustments as a Manager:
- Login from Manager Portal
- Navigate to My Team >> Show More >> Absence Balance

- Select the direct reports.

- The absence balance of the employee will get displayed.

- Select the compensatory plan (i.e. comp off) and Click on Add under Details

- Enter the hours you want to allocate to the employee and other necessary details.
- Depending on the plan setup, you can edit the expiration date of a previous unexpired compensatory time transaction or a manual adjustment.

- The absence balance gets adjusted.
- In this way, Compensatory plans has been further enhanced to allow managers to create and update compensatory time manual adjustments and expiration dates. The UI experience is quite seamless compared to the responsive pages.
