Oracle’s Redwood Experience has taken over candidate management to a new level with the redesigned Candidate Details Pages. These updates are tailored to make it easier than ever to review and manage candidates in the hiring process. Here’s a quick overview of what’s new and how you can benefit from these enhancements today.

Why Choose the Redwood Candidate Details Pages?

The new Candidate Details Pages, available in Visual Builder Studio (VBS), are designed to:

  • Streamline how you review candidates.
  • Provide easy access to key information.
  • Offer a more intuitive and organized layout for recruiters.

Once enabled, these pages enhance areas like job requisitions, candidate search, candidate pools, and events, making your recruiting workflow smoother and more efficient.

 

What’s New in Each Tab?

1. Details Tab:

Displays all candidate-provided information, such as:

  • Personal details (address, ID, etc.).
  • Professional background (resume, past jobs, degrees).
  • Attachments for quick previewing.

2. Screening Tab

  • Shows assessments completed by the candidate for various job applications.

3. Messages Tab

  • Displays emails and texts exchanged with the candidate.
  • Filters available:
    1. My Emails: Messages you’ve sent or where you’re a participant.
    2. All Emails: Includes all accessible communications.
  • Two-Way Communication: Emails are threaded, so you can track conversations easily.
  • AI Assist: Craft professional messages with the help of generative AI.

4. Activity Tab

  • Provides a summary of the candidate’s involvement, including:
    1. Job requisitions.
    2. Candidate pools.
    3. Events.
  • Allows previewing of internal attachments and follow-up tasks.

5. Similar Candidates Tab

  • Lists candidates with similar profiles for better hiring decisions.

 

How to Enable the Redwood Experience

Follow these steps to enable the new Redwood Candidate Details Pages:

  1. Go to Setup and Maintenance.
  2. Select the Search section from the right-side taskbar.
  3. Search for Manage Administrator Profile Values.
  4. Enable these profile options:
    1. ORA_IRC_CANDIDATE_REDWOOD_ENABLED (set to “Y”).

  • ORA_IRC_RECRUITING_REDWOOD_ENABLED (set to “Y”).

  • Click Save and Close.

Then we must run the scheduled ESS job process to create index definition and perform initial ingest to OSCS. In the Index Name to Reingest field, enter this value: fa-hcm-irc-candidates. This process is run once or as needed. Don’t run it regularly.

  • Use AI Assist and notification templates for consistent, professional communication.

 

Why Use AI Assist

The hiring process involves a high communication volume, often requiring personalized and engaging messages. AI Assist simplifies this process by generating content that can be customized and fine-tuned to meet specific needs. Here’s what you can do with it:

  • Draft Emails and Texts Quickly: Generate messages for tasks like sending job invitations, follow-ups, or onboarding communications.
  • Personalized Content: Craft messages relevant to your topic and tailor them to your audience.

 

How Does It Work

Using AI Assist is as simple as describing the purpose of your message. For instance, while composing an email, you can input:

“Tell the candidate about job openings in HR.”

AI Assist will then generate the subject and body of the email. You can:

  • Edit the content manually to fine-tune the message.
  • Ask AI Assist to regenerate the content to suit your tone or length preferences.
  • Preview the message before sending it.

Similarly, for text messages, you can compose quick, personalized messages with the added ability to adjust tone during regeneration.

 

Step-by-Step Guide to Enable AI Assist

To activate AI Assist for your organization, follow these steps:

1. Create the Profile Option

  • Click the Tasks icon to navigate the Setup and Maintenance work area.
  • Select the Search section from the right-side taskbar.
  • Search for Manage Profile Options and select it.
  • On the Manage Profile Options page, click the add icon (+).
  • Enter the following values:
    1. Profile Option Code: HCM_GENAI_IRC_COMPOSE_MESSAGE_ENABLED
    2. Profile Display Name: Enable AI Assist for messages
    3. Application: Recruiting
    4. Module: Recruiting Common
    5. Description: Enable AI Assist for composing emails or text messages
    6. Start Date: Today’s date
  • Save and close the page.

2. Enable the Profile Option at the Site Level

  • Search for the profile option you created on the Manage Profile Options page.
  • In the Profile Option Levels section, enable the profile option at the Site level.
  • Set it as updatable.
  • Save and close.

3. Grant Access to Recruiting

  • In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search for Manage Administrator Profile Values and select it.

  • Search for the profile option HCM_GENAI_IRC_COMPOSE_MESSAGE_ENABLED.

  • In the Profile Values section, click the New icon.

  • Set the profile level as Site and the profile value to Y.

  • Save and close.
